Not every headache is the same, and knowing which type you are dealing with makes it easier to decide what to do next. This guide covers the three patterns we most often hear about from people in Chelmsford.
Call 999 or go to A&E if you have a sudden, severe headache that feels like the worst of your life, or a headache with weakness, confusion, slurred speech, a stiff neck with fever, or loss of vision. See your GP if headaches are new, getting worse or changing pattern.
A chiropractor can assess your neck and upper back, look at how you move and sit, and help identify whether your headaches may be linked to the neck. Where appropriate, care may include gentle joint work, soft tissue techniques and advice on posture and exercise. Chiropractic care does not replace medical diagnosis or medication, and results vary.
Note when headaches start, how long they last, what you were doing and what helped. It is useful for your GP and for your chiropractor.
If you would like your headaches assessed, read about headache care at Ultra Wellness or join the waitlist to see Michelle from December.
Michelle will assess you and explain your options in plain English. Results vary from person to person.
