The cooling mask sits around your temples, where it helps reduce inflammation. Many people use it to find relief from headaches and migraines, and it fits easily into a busy day.
The Blue Light Cryo Facial uses a mask that delivers blue LED light together with cooling to the face. You lie back with the mask in place while the session runs.
It is quiet and comfortable, and our team will set it up and talk you through what to expect.
The Blue Light Cryo Facial is not suitable for everyone, for example if you are pregnant, take light-sensitising medication or have sensitive skin. Speak to your GP first if you have a medical condition, and message us with any questions.

Cooling the face triggers the body's natural circulation response. In a study of 17 healthy volunteers (Brown & Sanya, 2003), 60 seconds of cold on the forehead lowered heart rate and increased blood-flow velocity in a major brain artery. A later study (Miyazawa et al., 2012) found that 3 minutes of cold mist on the face increased blood flow to the brain, both at rest and during exercise.
In a randomised crossover study of 12 runners (De Nardi et al., 2024), wearing a cryo-facial mask before a treadmill test lowered facial skin temperature, and time to exhaustion was 13% longer than control. In a study of 10 men exercising in the heat (Mündel et al., 2007), face cooling lowered heart rate, blood lactate and the rise in prolactin. It also reduced perceived exertion towards the end of the session.
A 2023 meta-analysis of 31 LED studies (Ngoc et al., 2023) found that red and blue LED light significantly reduced acne lesions. In a systematic review of 14 randomised trials (Scott et al., 2019), 3 of the 5 trials reporting investigator-assessed results found significantly greater improvement with blue light than with comparison treatments.
After rhinoplasty, patients using a cooling gel eye mask had lower periorbital and facial swelling scores than those using ice in gloves (Ilce et al., 2024). In a split-face study (Murray et al., 2024), 70% of people noticed less swelling on the side given 10 minutes of controlled cooling.
Controlled cooling is used to calm inflammation in the skin. In a randomised split-face study after fractional laser (Murray et al., 2024), pain fell 69% on the cooled side versus 19% on the untreated side, and 50% of people noticed less redness on the cooled side.
Cold on the face activates the parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) nervous system and slows the heart rate. In a randomised study of 28 healthy adults (Richer et al., 2022), a cold face test after a stress task led to better heart-rate recovery and a lower cortisol response.
A 2023 systematic review and meta-analysis of 6 studies (Hsu et al., 2023) found that cold applied to the head, such as cold-gel headbands, reduced migraine pain within 30 minutes. In a 2025 randomised trial of 26 people (Kisa & Kaya, 2025), adding cold to relaxation exercises gave a greater reduction in monthly migraine attacks.

It's personal. Many people enjoy a single session as a treat, while others build it into a regular routine. We suggest starting with a short run of sessions and seeing how you feel. Results vary and can't be guaranteed.
It suits many people, but not everyone. It may not be suitable if you are sensitive to light, have an active skin condition or infection, open wounds, a recent facial procedure, or are pregnant.
