Settle into a reclining chair inside our chamber, put on Netflix or YouTube (or bring your own laptop or phone) and breathe 93% oxygen at 1.5 ATA through a comfortable mask. Sessions run from 30 to 90 minutes, so it's a quiet pocket of your day, and it's our most popular therapy.
Increased oxygen delivery to tissues to support your body's natural healing and recovery.
Many clients report feeling more energised and mentally clear, whilst athletes use HBOT to support recovery and enhance performance.
Recline in our adjustable chair and stream Netflix or YouTube, or bring your own phone or laptop.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) means breathing oxygen while inside a chamber at a pressure higher than normal air. At Ultra Wellness you relax in a reclining, adjustable chair and breathe 93% oxygen through a mask at 1.5 ATA, with Netflix, YouTube or your own device to keep you company.
You may feel a pressure change in your ears, similar to a flight or a dive. Our team will show you how to ease this and can pause the session if you need.
HBOT is not suitable for everyone, for example some lung conditions, certain medications or if you have a cold or ear problems on the day. Speak to your GP first if you have a medical condition, and message us with any questions.

HBOT is not a substitute for medical treatment. Please speak to your doctor about any health condition.
Extra oxygen in the blood supports the muscles' energy supply and recovery between sessions. In a study of young soccer players (Burgos et al., 2016), three weeks of training under hyperbaric oxygen improved VO2max and peak power output. A double-blind trial of elite youth footballers (Gušić et al., 2024) found lower fatigue and soreness scores an hour after a single session, and jiu-jitsu athletes (Branco et al., 2016) reported higher perceived recovery up to 24 hours later.
A 2025 systematic review of 17 randomised trials and one case series (671 people) found consistent reductions in pain and modest functional gains after surgery, including knee replacement and nerve repair (Martín Pérez et al., 2025). Patients also reported better quality of life, alongside lower inflammatory markers.
In a study of 35 healthy adults aged 64 and over (Hachmo et al., 2020), 60 HBOT sessions lengthened telomeres in several types of immune cell by over 20%. The same study found a 37% reduction in senescent T-helper cells, a marker of cellular ageing.
In a randomised, sham-controlled, double-blind trial of 73 people with Long COVID (Zilberman-Itskovich et al., 2022), 40 HBOT sessions improved cognitive function, attention, energy, sleep and pain interference compared with sham. Brain scans also showed improved perfusion in the HBOT group.
In a study of 60 women with fibromyalgia (Efrati et al., 2015), 40 HBOT sessions led to significant improvements in all symptoms and in quality of life. A later study of people with brain-injury-related fibromyalgia (Ablin et al., 2023) found HBOT reduced pain more than pregabalin or duloxetine.
A 2023 Cochrane review of 18 trials (1,071 people) found HBOT may improve or resolve late radiation tissue injury. It also found a large reduction in wounds reopening after head and neck surgery, and less pain at 12 months in people with jaw osteoradionecrosis.
In a trial of 63 healthy adults over 64 (Hadanny et al., 2020), three months of HBOT significantly improved global cognition, attention and processing speed, alongside increased blood flow in the brain. The Long COVID trial above also reported improved sleep.
In a study of 56 people with persistent post-concussion symptoms 1-5 years after a mild brain injury (Boussi-Gross et al., 2013), 40 HBOT sessions at 1.5 ATA led to significant improvements in cognition and quality of life. Brain scans also showed increased brain activity.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Please don't bring lighters, aerosols, keys or glass bottles into the chamber. We will talk you through the chamber and how to equalise your ears.
Recline in your chair and relax as the pressure gently builds. Watch Netflix or YouTube, or use your own device. A team member stays close by.
Pressure is lowered gradually. Have a drink and carry on. No downtime needed.
Pretty relaxing! You recline in a comfy adjustable chair, breathe oxygen through a mask as the pressure gently builds, and watch Netflix or YouTube (or use your own phone or laptop). A team member is always nearby and you can talk to us at any time.
Possibly. Your ears may feel full as the pressure builds, a bit like take-off on a plane. We have ear plugs, chewing gum and water ready to help, and we're right here if you need us.
Yes! 6-session packages bring it down to £50 a session for 30 minutes, £80 for 60 minutes and £100 for 90 minutes. We also have day passes, like The Big 3 (cryotherapy chamber, red light and HBOT) for £135.

Something comfortable, and arrive 5 minutes early. Phones and laptops are welcome! Please leave lighters, aerosols, keys and glass bottles outside the chamber.
That depends on your goals, and we can't promise specific results. Some clients start with a single session to try it, others go for 6 (or more) session packages. Tell us what you're hoping for and we'll point you in the right direction.
HBOT isn't suitable for everyone, so we email a short consent form with your booking confirmation that covers who it may not be suitable for. If you're unsure about anything, just ask us or your doctor, we're happy to chat.
